With over ten years of experience in the education sector, The Computer Lady provides one to one IT tuition to customers throughout the local area. Founded in 2010, the business is based in Rugeley.

Having worked in an adult learning centre offering various computer courses, a common quote was "that the screen looked different on their own PC and it was confusing”. The Computer Lady offers one to one tuition on the client's own PC/laptop, in the comfort of their own home, learning is tailored to their needs, with handouts and email support.

Learn everyday things like, setting up email, online shopping, paying bills, selling on EBay, Facebook, Twitter, Skype and Microsoft office. Beginners welcome, no need to struggle, The Computer Lady is user friendly and very patient.

Helping clients to get the best out of their PC at their own pace, the service provides individuals with a tailored learning experience. Offering quality tuition with support and guidance, the service is intended to help people to get to know their PC and feel confident when using it.

No need to do a whole course, the client can choose what they would like to learn and when, by booking a session at a time that suits. Every client is a valued client, with individual needs.

The Computer Lady has a growing clientele, situated in the local area, including private clients as well as business owners. There are never two lessons the same - from absolute beginners who are now using online facilities and becoming very confident sending emails. Others have learnt to use Skype to contact relatives for free and some just want to set up an email address or sell on Ebay.

Some local businesses can now access their work PC from home using 'log me in'. Another business person uses the service to find out how to perform tasks in Excel. There have been many satisfied clients who have used the service, some come back and use it again and again.

The company is owned by Hilda Francis who has been working in the education sector since 2000. Having previously been employed by Stafford and Burton College, where she gained two teaching qualifications and an A1 Assessors award, Hilda is experienced enough to offer tuition for IT.

A wealth of experience has been gained through working with adult learners of all different levels, offering ongoing support and guidance enabling them to gain an IT qualification. Delivery of workshops, creating handouts and resources and assessing have been key elements towards the success of The Computer Lady.

Hilda is a treasure. Her computer knowledge is boundless and her teaching skills are to be admired. You immediately feel at ease and she has unlimited patience. My wife and I had tried evening and day classes without any real improvement in our ability. Hilda was recommended to us and within a few lessons we had improved tremendously. I decided to purchase a laptop havng no idea how to use it. Thanks to Hilda I mastered quite a number of functions due to her patience and perseverance. I would recommend her highly. She is a very pleasant lady and has given me tremendous encouragement.

The Computer Lady tutored myself and three of my work colleagues before she became The Computer Lady.
Hilda tutored us for NVQ IT Level 2 in just 9 months during 2009/10.All of this was achieved by phone and email as we are all in the Bristol area.
We have kept in touch ever since.
I know i speak for the others when i say we could not have achieved our NVQ's without her.We wish her every success as THE COMPUTER LADY.

I have bean trying to sort my computer out for years with no avail and getting very frustrated alter having tuition from the computer lady I now go line for banking, milk @more,eon and many more. Been hard work for the computer lady.

Are you looking for computer lessons if so, you don’t need to look any further, because Hilda can help, she’ll explain things in an easy to understand manner and she has plenty of patience, I have learnt so much since she has been coming to me and now I get full use out of my PC. I would have no problem recommending her.

I bought a new laptop recently which is far more advanced than my old one. When I opened it I was absolutely lost, although I had IT help it was difficult to explain over the phone. The Computer Lady was the answer, Hilda comes to my house, uses my computer and explains in plain english on a one to one basis. Excellent. I strongly recommend The Computer Lady to any one. Brilliant.

Before i started having lessons i was a complete novis i did not know anything about computers, in fact i was rather frightened of them.I know that may sound silly but that's how i felt. I was getting left behind, my daughter tried to show me a few times but i could not get the hang of it.Thats when i got in touch with The Computer Lady and before i knew it i was using a computer.I was made to feel at ease,the lessons where interesting and what i thought at one time was complicated started to make sense.I can now use our main computer and laptop.I still have more to learn but i am a lot more confident and can use the computer on my own in fact i can now use it better than my husband who has been using the computer a lot lot longer than i have.So i would definitely say go for it, she has lots of patience and she certainly needed it with me. If she can teach me to use a computer any one can do it especially if The Computer Lady is teaching you.
